As part of the foundation course of the product design program, students develop modular and variable concepts of space. Using the patterns of joint-knot-systems as a starting point, the various knots are extrapolated and used to create various morphologies. In the process, complex structures are created, which are composed of planar and bent surfaces, which again consist of micro-structurally identical elements.
Different variations of joints, connections, directions, volumes and parametrical structures are created and developed to achieve a high level of stability, rigidity and firmness.
