Fibre Flow
Tatjana Gorbachewskaja was selected for realisation of the project by Art Residency Arteles.
The project explores the notion of flow that based on the results of textile structure analysis. It investigates physical experiments that create three dimensionally heterogeneous materials with a graded stiffness, a structural hierarchy, and a locally controlled lighting dynamic performance.
Presented model translate soft textile organization to the pre-tectonic, pre-architectural landscape organization. Studies are split up in two basic typologies and got focused on “layering” and “branch” fiber composite organizations.
Architectural design is very often is not about having ideas but about having techniques: techniques that operate on a material level. If we need ideas, they follow from techniques, and techniques follow from matter. It is about making matter think and live by itself.
